You're probably feeling very sleep deprived right now, and to make things worse, you're also feeling fat! Right now though, you need to take good care of yourself.
You need to rest whenever you can, you need to eat properly, and you must take time out for yourself, too. Looking after yourself is the key to keeping your health and sanity! Remember, a happy mom means a happy baby!
You need to look after your body as part of the time you take out for yourself. So if you want to lose pregnancy weight as soon as possible, there is a solution.
Start with a smart, healthy diet
Eating properly is important, as already been mentioned. You need to eat regularly to keep your energy levels up, and eating plenty of fresh, whole foods, is one of the keys to staying healthy.
Rev up your metabolism and boost your energy with simple exercises
Exercise is another factor to boosting your energy levels but of course you should not start exercising until you have been given approval by your doctor. Your body needs adequate time to heal though, so overdoing it before it's had a chance to may cause serious injury.
Just after giving birth, walking might be all you can manage to start with. Resistance training and intervals can be added to your exercise routine as your body heals.
How to advance to resistance and interval training
Resistance training usually involves the use of weights or other form of resistance and is designed to improve your strength. These exercises could include lunges, pushups, bent over rows (using dumbbells) or specific exercises to work your core muscles.
Intervals are very effective and involve varying your workout intensity. An intervals workout could include walking on the spot for one minute followed by running on the spot for 30 seconds, alternating for 15 minutes.
If you've just started out you might want to take it easy at first, but as you get fitter and stronger, you will find that you're able to do a lot more.
Making baby part of your routine
If finding time to work out alone is difficult for you, why not put your baby on the floor next to you while exercise?
If you look after yourself you're going to feel better and will be a much better mom for your baby. With healthy eating and regular exercise you will also find your energy levels are much higher too. To lose pregnancy weight will not only allow you to feel better about yourself, but you will look and feel great, too.
